Structured in-person tournaments with a rules briefing, scheduled breaks and a clear finish. Beginners and experienced players can both take part.
Who it suits
Come to learn, return to play.
First-time players receive a practical explanation before the tournament starts. If you already know the game, you can settle into the same structured format without needing a separate advanced session.
You can enquire on your own or with others. Registration is required, and attendance is confirmed only when Puszta Manor replies.

Programme conditions
A financially neutral social format.
This is an in-person social poker programme under an 18+ venue house policy. There are no stakes, cash wagers, poker buy-in, poker-specific tournament fee, cash prizes or prizes of material value. Chips have no cash value and cannot be redeemed. There is no online play.
The normal Puszta Manor charge is for time spent in the community space and general use of the venue. It is not a stake, prize contribution or separate charge for taking part in poker.
Fixed weekly times
Four sessions each week.
Advance registration is required for every social poker session.

Venue time and refreshments
NZ$7.50 for the first 60 minutes.
After the first hour, the regular rate is NZ$0.10 for each additional minute. Coffee, tea, water and simple light snacks are included.
Regular Guest Card holders pay NZ$5.00 for the first 60 minutes and NZ$0.07 per additional minute.

Before a poker night
Do I need to know the rules?
No. The rules and tournament flow are explained before play. More experienced players are welcome too.
Are there stakes or valuable prizes?
No. Players do not stake money, and the programme does not award cash or other material-value prizes.
Is there a poker buy-in or poker-specific entry fee?
No. The normal venue charge pays for time in the community space and is not a poker buy-in or poker-specific participation fee.
Do I need to register for a poker night?
Yes. Advance registration is required. Choose Social poker in the enquiry form and wait for our reply before treating your place as confirmed.
Why is the poker programme 18+?
The 18+ requirement is Puszta Manor’s venue house policy for this programme. It is not presented as a statutory New Zealand poker age.
Is there any online poker?
No. Puszta Manor’s social poker programme is in person at the Auckland venue.
